CCR announce a not for profit charity event for contact centres in aid of Children in Need. The event to be held in June 2010 aims to raise £75,000 for the children's charity. "We've canvassed opinion up and down the UK's contact centres and there is a strong feeling that the industry annual awards event should be generating money for charity rather than event organisers and the most popular charity is Children in Need." says Sarah Allen. Further details of the event will be unveiled before Christmas but we would ask the whole industry to sit on that awards budget for a few more weeks and to take a look at this very worthwhile and worthy event as an alternative spend. Our objective is to attract 100 organisations to the event and populate their tables with real achievers within their own centres. All those working in the contact centre industry know that we are often working against negative stereotypes in the minds of the public, but here is an opportunity to showcase the myriad of charitable works done by our agents and colleagues. We are very interested in hearing from contact centres that have run "X Factor" type events amongst their staff, or those with talented performers that would like to get involved in this worthy cause. __________________________________________________________________________ |
